Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers, no hype. Turtle +EV Labs is a probability engine that grades every pick in public — 167,000+ graded so far, wins and losses both. Below are the questions serious bettors actually ask before they subscribe, answered honestly. Still curious? Read how it works, check the public record, or try the free tools.

What is Turtle +EV Labs?

Turtle +EV Labs is a sports-betting edge engine, not a tout service. For NBA, NHL, MLB, Soccer, Tennis, and WNBA, we model how likely each player prop is to hit, compare that calibrated probability against live prices at ~48 sportsbooks and DFS apps, and surface only the bets where the math says the price is in your favor. Then we grade every single pick in public — wins and losses both. To date that public record is 167,000+ picks graded, all timestamped before the games.

What is +EV (positive expected value) betting?

A bet is +EV when its true probability of winning is higher than the probability the price implies. If our model says a prop hits 58% of the time but the sportsbook price implies only 52%, that gap is the edge. +EV betting is the only mathematically sustainable approach to beating the books over a large sample. It is not a guarantee on any single bet — variance is real — it is a long-run discipline.

How do you make money if the picks are public?

We sell access and the work behind the picks — the models, the calibration, the live scan across ~48 books, and the full graded record — not a secret nobody else can have. Player-prop and DFS markets are deep enough that our subscribers are not all hammering the same line at the same book; +EV edges do not evaporate the way a single arbitrage would. Making the record public is the entire pitch: most pick-sellers hide their losses, and our willingness to show ours in full is the reason to trust the math.

Is this a scam?

No, and the design is meant to let you check that for yourself instead of taking our word for it. Every pick is timestamped before the game and graded against the official box score after it settles. We do not delete losing picks, silently re-grade them, or show a hand-picked winning streak. The full graded history — wins and losses — is public on the performance page. Anyone selling guaranteed wins or hiding their record is the thing to be skeptical of; verifiability is the opposite of that.

Do you guarantee I will profit?

No. Anyone guaranteeing profit in sports betting is lying to you. We provide calibrated probabilities and a transparent edge, not certainty. Our historical, in-sample record is public, but past results do not guarantee future performance, and over the long run an edge has to keep proving itself — we treat ours as unproven until the graded sample says otherwise. Variance and losing stretches happen even on sound +EV plays. The honest framing is: long-term expected value with disciplined bankroll management, not a magic lock.

What sports do you cover, and how many sportsbooks?

Six sports: NBA, NHL, MLB, Soccer, Tennis, and WNBA. We pull live prices from roughly 48 sportsbooks and DFS apps — a mix of traditional books and pick apps — and rescan them every couple of minutes so the edge is measured against current prices, not stale ones.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. The Pro plan ($149/mo) comes with a 7-day free trial, so you can see the picks, the math behind them, and the live track record before you pay anything. Start the trial, watch how the picks grade in public, and decide from there.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There are no lock-in contracts. You can cancel your subscription whenever you want, and if you start the 7-day Pro trial and it is not for you, cancel before it ends and you will not be charged.

How is this different from OddsJam and other +EV tools?

Most tools, OddsJam included, are odds screens: they show you a +EV number derived from a sharp book and leave you to trust it. We do that scan too, but the difference is the graded record. We publish every pick and grade it in public, win or loss, so you can audit whether the edge actually showed up rather than taking a screen number on faith. We also tend to be far cheaper than the $200+/mo enterprise tools. We are a peer building the honest tool we wanted, not a guru.

What is the public record, and where can I see it?

The public record is every pick we have ever surfaced, timestamped before the game and graded after it settles — 167,000+ picks graded so far, with the full win/loss history visible. You can open it yourself on the performance page; nothing is filtered to a winning subset. We even studied the entire graded history and published the honest results, losing cuts included, on our "does +EV work" breakdown.

What is the no-vig (fair odds) calculator?

The vig is the margin a sportsbook bakes into both sides of a market so it profits regardless of outcome. A no-vig calculator strips that margin out to estimate the "fair" probability and fair odds behind a price — which is the starting point for spotting whether a line is actually +EV. It is one of our free tools, alongside an EV calculator, an odds converter, and more.

Are the free tools really free?

Yes — the calculators at /tools are genuinely free, no account required. No-vig calculator, EV calculator, odds converter, parlay math, and more. They exist because they are useful and because they are the best way to show how we think before you ever pay for a subscription.

What is the Founding plan?

Founding is Pro-level features at the Core price ($99/mo instead of $149/mo) — a thank-you for early supporters. It is capped at 50 seats, has no trial, is offered to warm-audience folks only, and does not reopen once it is gone. If you are seeing the public site, the standard path is the 7-day Pro free trial.

How much does it cost?

Core is $99/mo and Pro is $149/mo with a 7-day free trial — the trial is the cold path, so you can try Pro before paying. There is also a Pro Annual option at $1,490/yr for anyone who wants to commit for the year. Full details are on the pricing page.

Do I have to trust your numbers, or can I check them?

You can check them. Read how the models and grading work on the how-it-works page, browse the full graded record on the performance page, and try the free calculators to run the math yourself. The whole product is built so you never have to take a screenshot on faith — the timestamps, the grading source, and the record are all open.
